Well, my momma tried to kill me

 and I can’t say, now, looking back on things

 that I blame her. I took to drinking

 at an early age; did all I could to bust out

 of her cage. Seems she should have

 forgiven me when I put the bottle down

 but that wasn't her style coming from

 her Irish part of town.
