• In my heart and soul, I think of a band as a band...as the folk who banded together to make the music in the first place. When Ronnie died in that plane crash, that was it for me for Skynnard. Journey looking for a guy who looks, and sounds, like Perry to replace Perry is horrifying. Nielson taking over for Browne on vocals would make it no longer The Nightporters, to my purest thought. But, we don't live in a pure world. Musicians want to play, and they need paychecks. I thought Def Lepperd was cool when they kept the drummer who had lost his arm, and that Manzarak sucked smelly balls by putting together a "Doors" band without Morrison. Phil, and company, had balls by not continuing with the moniker The Greatful Dead, and calling it simply, The Dead. All my bitching is just a waste of time. I should put together my own band and have it the way I want it!! Hope that you, and the family, all have big smiles on your faces.
