This gives me satisfaction

A number of birds

vacate the neighbor’s feeder

in favor of my freshly cut lawn.

My baby turtles are feeding

on food that I gave them

just awhile ago.

I have my dogs on the carport

and they are not barking.

My lady will be home soon.

There are many reasons to give thanks.
