That’s what I ought to do

I ought to walk right out of that door

and never come back

I ought to tell a bunch of folks

exactly what’s on my mind

but I won’t and it’s because

I’m indoctrinated.

This is the walk I’m supposed to walk.

This is the talk I’m supposed to talk.

I ought to tell them what’s on my mind.

I ought to shake my finger at them.

I ought to tell them how things should be,

but I won’t cuz I need to get my  pay check

on Friday.
